You'd be suprised how many Eve players live in Edinburgh. A lot of us are in the alternative scene (suprise  ) and you can find a lot of us at Neon at Subway Cowgate or next door in Opium on nights other than Sundays.
I'll get everyone I know (other than Nick, who pointed this out) to come along.
Good to see BE's most infamous lives here

Yes, its a little short notice on the time between now and then, but I think that we should stick to the initial idea of The Standing Order. That and maybe start off the proceedings at an earlier time, say, 6pm.

There is always the Rock Karaoke on the Monday night after though... I'm always there.

Haha, Kael introduced me to a mini-meet last night at Subway Cowgate's Headbangers Ball. They're pretty neet guys, but they must have thought my Tequila habit a bit extreme.
Can't wait till this meet happens

You need to come back up when this Edinburgh meet happens then.
In the meantime, might I suggest a venue for this meet starting/mid-way? 3Tuns on a Wednesday... I'm now running the karaoke there from 9 
If the meet happens on a Wednesday, karaoke with me would be jawsome.

Just to inform people, Shin seems to be busy with stuff atm, but he sounds like he's still got it in the works (hopefully before the alliance tourney's), so hang in there.
In the meantime, however, I think Kaelin will join me tonight at Neon, Subway Cowgate (if I pester him enough). Free Entry and ú1 a drink. A few Eve players are usually there (a few of us DJ too) so we can get some discussions going despite the heavy music.
Dave, you better be coming tonight too And Monty!

Hogmanay went straight out the window thanks to the retail period that is Christmas.
I had a blast with my bassist and I hope everyone in Scotland had a good one too
Anywho, until I can really get round to sorting something or Shin comes in and saves the day (although I know what uni is like), there's karaoke on at Opium on the cowgate tonight (monday night) and a great metal night at the pit on wednesday.
I'm gonna be out at these and will see how many eve players will be out too. You can't miss me as I'm the one with long hair and that bandana.

May I suggest Nicol Edwards? It's a very large pub with 3 bars dotted about the place and I know a certain Acoustic David who plays the most awesome set ever.
It's just off between the Royal Mile and the Cowgate, down Niddry Street. With enough comfirmed coming, I could see if we could get the back rooms eve-onlyÖ

I've been thinking about it but all I can come up with are Bannermans (great place with Fraoch on tap, but a little expensive), Nicol Edwards (large maze of a pub underground, haunted etc), or perhaps Logie Bairds (expensive again, but damn nice).
I'll keep thinking, but I'm guessing we're all looking for cheap and nice?

7th is very good for me.
I could wrangle the backrooms possibly with enough people coming. I might even be up for dj-ing (rock, goth, metal, random) if I can get the equipment sorted. Other than that, I would also definately be able to get hold of free equipment for karaoke if people are interested in that instead
Nicols certainly allows for more flexibility and is a pretty nice and cheap place all round.
This would also be a good time to point out that it's my birthday at the end of this week but feel free to gank the birthday boy whenever you tackle me.

I could probably make both, but my brother will be up on the 7th (while I tempt him into Eve) so I'd be dragging him along to meet fellow podders.
I'll work on a small something for the 7th for those who can't make the 14th if there's interest.
